ah ok A friend was there the same week then was describing a fly guy heading out to the point. I thought it was too small a world for a minute!

I'm going on my first SW trip in a couple weeks. Currently in the panic stage

yeah, it was a really different kind of fishing... hunting really... I'm not used to it as a trout fisherman. It was real fun though, even if I didn't connect with any of dem bones... at least I finally saw them.

Where are you headed?

That sight fishing really has me jazzed up! I keep thinking... "No. Look for the BIG shadow." I don't get to see cruising fish often either (except Pyramid).

Florida for 5 days on the water, which I hear won't be the easiest start, but we've got a guide. I think as a rookie, it'll be my job to cast too slow, cast too short, get tangled up, puke over the side, and hook myself or some other nearby victim.

Oh, not all the shadows are big... and sometimes you don't really see the shadow, at least not where I was... there was lots of old coral and you couldn't see the shadows. A guide is helpful... before the guide I was looking for the wrong things in the wrong places.

Have fun!
